Powerwhores "TeleVision" review

So I just got back from watching the Logan UT showing of Powderwhore productions "Television." Its low-budget but you won't leave dissatisfied at all. Overall a great flick and definitely one of their best performances yet. The cheesy theme worked quite well through the whole thing, it certainly embodies the tele scene.
The skiing was definitely pushed to a bit higher level but I'm still a little disappointed that telemarking hasn't caught up to alpine skiing in technical free-ride style descents. That's not really Powderwhore's fault by any means. They did an excellent job of capturing the progression of our sport. Its an exciting time, just watch a 5 year old film and tell me we haven't gotten better. It finally had some footage of free-healers venturing onto some steeper Alaskan terrain with spines etc. The terrain choice was incredible, I was really impressed with what was skid. I think that some of the lines in this flick would make other routes in say.. TGR look rather small. The scene would pan out and show the entire mtn in comparison the skiers and leaving me amazed that they climbed the damn thing, not once, but all day long as shown by the other tracks. I was bummed to see them billygoating around instead of hauling over them like Jeremy Nobis in TGR's movies though. Props to the athletes who tried, it was definitly an eye opener to what it would be like to make tele turns down Alaskan spines. Still an awesome film and if you haven't seen it yet it's worth buying or finding a showing near you.
